31-Year-Old Driver Arrested
KUALA LUMPUR: Authorities have detained a 31-year-old male driver suspected of causing a hit-and-run accident that claimed a young girl’s life and injured her parents.
Description of the Accident
The incident took place on the Bukit Jalil Highway at approximately 9:50pm last Friday (Nov 15). Speaking on Tuesday (Nov 19), ACP Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa, head of the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT), confirmed the arrest.
Hospitalization and Tragic Loss
Reports indicate that the victims were thrown from their motorcycle after being struck by the suspect’s vehicle. Bystanders transported the injured family to a hospital, where the seven-year-old child tragically passed away during treatment.

Dashcam footage capturing the collision has been widely shared on Facebook. The 28-second clip shows a luxury car speeding, hitting the motorcycle, briefly pausing, and then fleeing the scene.
