MyresQ App: A Game-Changer for Emergencies
Transforming crisis management, MyresQ alerts certified responders and empowers bystanders to save lives nationwide.
Critical Seconds in Cardiac Arrest
PETALING JAYA: Swift response is vital during a cardiac arrest, and the MyresQ medical app ensures life-saving assistance reaches patients faster than ever before.
Helping Hundreds Since March
Launched in March, MyresQ has already played a role in 459 emergencies, including 127 sudden cardiac arrests. It connects users to 5,805 certified responders and features a comprehensive AED database with 360 registered devices.
Born from Real-Life Needs
Dr. Mohd Afiq Mohd Nor, a Universiti Malaya Medical Centre emergency physician, explained that the app was inspired by an incident in 2022 where CPR could not be administered in time. Over three months, his team developed the app to bridge this critical gap in emergency care.
Reducing Response Times Drastically
The app aims to dispatch help within four minutes to those within a 500m radius, outperforming the average ambulance response time of 17–20 minutes.
Encouraging AED Accessibility
Dr. Afiq stressed the importance of CPR and AED use within 10 minutes to improve survival rates. MyresQ allows users to upload AED locations, making them accessible in emergencies.
For Responders and Bystanders Alike
Non-responders can also activate the system, ensuring quick assistance from trained individuals nearby. MyresQ redefines emergency response, offering nationwide support.
