Cable Theft Attempt Disrupts Kajang MRT Services Between Two Damansara Stations

Services on the Kajang MRT line were disrupted on Friday morning after an attempted cable theft was detected between the Phileo Damansara and Pusat Bandar Damansara stations. Rapid KL said the incident triggered a temporary power cut to the affected area while security personnel conducted checks on site.
Rapid KL said it detected the rail line encroachment and cable theft attempt at 5.30am. Power supply to the area was cut off to allow auxiliary police to carry out security checks and locate the suspect. The operator did not confirm whether anyone had been apprehended.
Power was restored at 6.32am after the necessary action was taken, according to a statement from Rapid KL. The operator said a police report had been lodged following the incident.
Rapid KL advised commuters that waiting times might be slightly longer than usual as services recovered from the disruption.
