Neighbours Suspect Man Who Hid Mother’s Body in Freezer
Neighbours of a man accused of hiding his mother’s body in a freezer for three years describe him as isolated. Police are investigating.
Reclusive Neighbourhood Figure
KUALA LUMPUR: In a quiet neighbourhood in Taman OUG, a man suspected of killing his mother and hiding her body in a freezer has raised alarms with his reclusive nature. Residents described him as a solitary figure who avoided interacting with others.
Few Sightings in Recent Weeks
One neighbour, who chose to remain anonymous, revealed that the man in his 50s had only been seen three times in the past two weeks. “He drives out, presumably for food, and then returns quickly,” the neighbour shared on Wednesday (Nov 13).
A Stranger to Social Life
The suspect’s neighbours, some of whom have lived in the area for decades, confirmed that he seldom socialized with anyone. “He doesn’t engage with people around here,” one neighbour said.
Concerns Over the Mother’s Disappearance
The 80-year-old mother had not been seen for a while, with another neighbour mentioning that the house was often dark, and speculated that the man may have suffered a stroke. “We thought something was wrong with him,” she said.
Police Investigation Underway
The police launched an investigation on Tuesday after the suspect contacted authorities himself, leading them to discover the mother’s body. Investigators are treating the case as a potential murder.
