TAIPING: A 5-meter python startled a household by falling from the ceiling, but was swiftly apprehended by the Civil Defence Force (APM).
Civil Defence Responds to Emergency
As reported by the Taiping local council on Facebook, a seven-member APM team responded to the call at a house located on Jalan Ayer Puteh in Kg Dew, Kamunting, at 8 p.m. on Monday, November 25.
Snake Hanging From the Ceiling
The snake was filmed dangling from a ceiling hole in a video shared online, hanging directly over the sofa. The post received over 2,300 shares and 500 comments from people sharing their own experiences with snakes.
Reactions to the Incident
The APM team in Taiping also posted about the incident.
“I’ve been traumatized by pythons coming into my house three times now,” wrote Noreen Faizah.
“We’ve caught four snakes with the help of our neighbors and the Civil Defence, releasing them at the Pasir Panjang forest reserve in Port Dickson,” shared Kay Layla JN.
“It reminded me of the movie Anaconda,” said Wanie Gaban.
