Shah Alam: Teen Girl Rescued After Kidnapping | 7 Arrested
A 15-year-old girl was rescued from kidnappers in Shah Alam, and seven suspects, including two women, were arrested by police.
The Disturbing Voice Message
PETALING JAYA: A 15-year-old girl was rescued by police after being abducted, with seven individuals, including two women, arrested in the process.
South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Cha Hoong Fong explained that the father of the teenager filed a police report on November 18 after receiving a disturbing voice message from her phone. The teen left home around 4pm, and when she had not returned by 6:30pm, her father tried calling her.
Misleading Information and the Search Efforts
“He received a voice message telling him to go to Subang and pick her up. The message mentioned that she had an argument with a man,” ACP Cha said, according to Sinar Harian.
When the father arrived at the location, the teenager was not there. He then received another WhatsApp message claiming she had been released somewhere in Kuala Lumpur.
Police Investigation and Rescuing the Teen
Following a police investigation, the kidnappers were tracked down to an apartment in i-City, Shah Alam, where the girl was found unharmed. Authorities arrested three males and two females, aged between 15 and 19.
Further operations led to the arrest of two more suspects, aged 16 and 18, near Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur. All suspects have been detained for questioning, and none had a criminal record.
